What the....

He leaves for 6 days and the minute he walks out the door.... it happens. The last time it was the snow that lasted for days and the snow plow who took out our mailbox and the furnace that decided it was time to die.

This time it was a set of windows (newly fixed last year) that decided to let the pouring rain gush in and the billing software that decided yesterday that it no longer wanted to send electronic claims and the littlest who was diagnosed today with strep and a double ear infection (silly me thought it was just a lingering cold). And to top it off, that littlest stayed home from school today and RIPPED the house apart while I was trying to work and screamed at the top of his voice that he "needed his butt wiped" while I was on the phone with a patient question and ended his sick day by jumping up and down (Nathan will verify) on the table - yes, I said the table...... what the..........

To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment. Ralph Waldo Emerson

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. Hebrews 12: 1-3
