Some extra estrogen in the house

Carah was home for Spring Break the past 10 days and the extra estrogen was a really nice addition. She and I enjoyed our usual shopping trip for clothes, not once, but twice this time. We both hate clothes shopping passionately, mostly due to those hips and thighs (thanks alot GT!) that make shopping for jeans torturous but together we managed and we managed to laugh along the way. We found her some cute tops (as always), interview attire, VS undies, and even some spiffy glasses with Sissy attitude. :) We also put a dent in all the prizes and stuff she needed to do for her Up Til Dawn finale on Friday.

She cooked for us a couple of times. Super duper pretzel baked chickent tenders with oven baked potatoes and then maple chicken. It is such a treat for me to get a home cooked meal at someone else's hands. Thank you so much Sissy!!!!

She gave Honey and I a date night (we saw Confessions of a Shopaholic) and she took care of numerous baths and boy play time. We watched Grey's together instead of chatting during it via phone. And the chick flicks got dusted off and watched together. We went to lunch and we talked girl talk and she rolled her eyes at me lots ;)

I love her. I love having the extra girl power in the house. I love listening to all that's she's got going on and how she manages it all so well. I love that someone else in the world understands my emotions and my crazy sense of humor (yes, singing fish do it for me :) ), I love hugging her in the flesh even if it infringes on her "bubble". She is beautiful inside and out and she is already missed.

>note to self - teach those boys how to use your camera!!! :)

LEARNING TO BE REAL

To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment. Ralph Waldo Emerson

2009 LIFE VERSE

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. Hebrews 12: 1-3
